Medical Advisory Board

Medical Advisory Board (MAB) was conceived as a forum to give HPA member physicians a more direct voice in the deliberations/decisions of the HPA Board (which constitutes 1/2 of the HPHO Board).  The MAB is annually constituted by a group of physician representatives who are either appointed by large groups or elected by their constituents. The MAB is responisble annually for establishing the slate of nominees for the HPA Board of Directors.  The MAB also discusses and makes recommendations regarding most of the issues that come before the HPA Board.  Members of the MAB also serve on one of two functioning sub-committees, which are the Contract Oversight and the Medical Management Committees.  Both committees pursue their assigned agendas, and they come together in the MAB forum to share their work.
